The Yorkshire branch of the Tourism Society organises events throughout the region on a regular basis. Attendance is available to members and non-members. The Tourism Society is the professional membership body for people working in all sectors of the visitor economy.
The Society was founded in 1977 with the aim of driving up standards of professionalism in a fast-growing global industry which can have major social, economic and environmental impacts on communities and nations. Its members number over 1100 and represent tour operators, hotel chains, PR, marketing and representation companies, tourist attractions, national, regional and local tourist boards, restaurants, trade media, charities, consultants, academics, students and educational establishments, among others.

Tourism Society Yorkshire Annual Cricket Match – Wednesday 10th July 2019
The Yorkshire Gentleman’s Cricket Club at Escrick Park near York is the location once again for the Tourism Society Yorkshire’s annual cricket match. With the England cricket team currently on a winning streak, it’s time for Tourism Professionals to come and emulate them on Wednesday 10th July 2019. Join colleagues from our sponsor Qa Research when we try to replicate Ben Stokes’ incredible catch that he performed against South Africa on Thursday 30th May.
